Behaviour of Offshore Structures Conference 92
ISBN 1 874612 02 1
In the fifteen years since the first Behaviour of Offshore Structures (BOSS) Conference took place in Trondheim in August 1976, offshore engineering has been in the forefront of many diverse technological developments. The BOSS Conference series have played their part by being a forum for communication and discussion of these developments. The BOSS philosophy of holding the Conference once every three years gives the research community and industry the opportunity to contribute high quality papers arising out of work that is in-depth and well thought trough. The Boss Conferences have been concerned with the design, construction and installation of structures used for the development of offshore oil and gas fields. BOSS 92 continues this tradition with sessions on hydrodynamics, structures and geotechnics. The growing maturity of offshore engineering is recognised at BOSS 92 by sessions on comparisons of design theory with practice and by sessions describing technological advances made during specific field developments.
